Description of responsibilities: The Chief Strategy Officer leads the development of strategic initiatives across the organization. This role involves listening to stakeholders, synthesizing technical information, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing risk and reputation. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with key partners, leading cross-functional teams to meet key performance indicators, and developing comprehensive communication plans.

Required experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience. Scientific background with knowledge of environmental issues and/or water/wastewater industry preferred.

Required skills:  Comprehensive understanding of strategic planning, project development, and management principles. Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and reporting standards. Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability principles and practices. Comprehensive understanding of partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and government relations. Thorough knowledge of AP/journalistic style for writing and editing content.

Required Education:  Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or a related field. M.S. degree in related field preferred.
