J. Reif Consulting LLC was established in 2022 by James Reif, a retired Police Captain from the Philadelphia suburbs in response to the tragic school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. During the last 15 years of his 32-year police career, James served as the Safe Schools coordinator for all 20 public, private, and parochial schools in his township. As the township Safe Schools Coordinator, his focus was on conducting Active Shooter response training and facility site safety assessments for every school. His responsibilities eventually expanded to include conducting active shooter and safety training for private businesses and non-profits in the township. J Reif Consulting LLC’s Active Shooter Response Training is an approved training vendor with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and Pennsylvania Department of Education Act 48 Certified Teachers can earn 2.0 continuing professional education hours upon completion of this course. J Reif Consulting LLC is certified by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency as a provider for conducting physical security and safety assessments in school buildings and campuses across the state.
