Collection System Maintenance Worker
The Swatara Township Authority is presently accepting applications for the following position:
COLLECTION SYSTEM MAINTENANCE WORKER
Job duties include assisting the Foreman & Maintenance Manager and staff with the following: washing and reconditioning vehicles; routine maintenance and flushing of the sanitary sewer system; routine televising of the sanitary sewer system; other duties as required. Some work occurs in confined spaces.
Experience in wastewater treatment collection system maintenance work a plus.
All applicants must have a valid PA Driver’s License. Must have CDL Permit and/or Class B Air Brakes and Tanker prior to employment, OR starting with CDL Permit but must pass Class B Air Brakes and Tanker within three months of employment.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as necessary. Must be willing to work week-long On-Call Duty for after-hours responses approximately every four weeks, for which there is an additional stipend [and additional pay if called out].
PAY AND BENEFITS FOR ALL THREE ABOVE POSITIONS
Starting salary is based upon relevant experience, training, and qualifications, and may be increased if the applicant has specialized education and/or certifications.
