City of Bethlehem Maintenance Supervisor – Wastewater Treatment Plant

Salary/Pay Rate:       $64,000 – $90,000 annual based on experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or G.E.D; minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy mechanical and electrical equipment used in a wastewater treatment plant; minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skill and ability.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:  Thorough knowledge of the physical and technical maintenance requirements of wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater treatment mechanical systems, computer and SCADA systems; knowledge of current wastewater treatment plant principles, operating, and maintenance practices; ability to effectively plan and supervise the work of union employees; ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form; ability to develop and keep maintenance records, reports and communications; strong leadership skills; considerable experience in the maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant; knowledge of Predictive/Preventative Maintenance Programs, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and SCADA Control Systems.
